Baptism is the first step of obedience after salvation. It does not save us, but it publicly identifies us with Jesus Christ.
The Bible says that all professing Christians should be baptized (Matthew 28:18-20). Whether you've been following Jesus for a long time and never got baptized or are a new Christian, we would be honored to help you publicly declare your faith in Jesus Christ!

We believe baptism was commanded by Christ (Matt. 28:19), follows your belief in him as your savior (Acts 8:36–38), and is a symbol that pictures new life in Christ (Rom. 6:3–4).
Questions about Baptism?
We dedicate a whole episode on our podcast, Young Not Dumb, to dig into what Scripture really teaches about baptism—what it is, what it isn’t, and why it matters. We talk through common questions like "Is baptism just a symbol or is it essential for salvation?" "Do you have to be baptized to be saved?" "What about people who believe but haven’t been baptized yet?" We take a look at examples from the Bible to help you understand where baptism fits into the Christian life.
Whether you’re unsure if you’re ready, wondering what the point is, or just curious how important baptism really is, this one’s for you!

Ready to be Baptized?
We host special "Baptism Sundays" about once every few months, or when someone lets us know they'd like to be baptized. Historically, we host a special "Baptism Service" at the Elk Point Public Pool before public hours.
